Gift #143: October Eves

Listen! The wind is rising, and the air is wild with leaves, we have had our summer evenings, now for October eves!” – Humbert Wolfe

That’s one of my favorite quotes and I’ve been waiting for quite a while to post it!  Now that it’s October, the timing is perfect.  We had a beautiful, warm fall day, with a spectacular sunrise.  I had a hard time staying on the road, it was so distracting.  And now a cold front is blowing in, so the leaves are twirling in the road and playing catch with the squirrels.  There’s gold and crimson coming up everywhere and the smell of bonfires is in the air.  Soon they’ll be enough leaves on the ground to crunch underfoot!  And we’ll be drinking our cider hot.  Crisp October eves are upon us.  Hope you may spy some dancing leaves today.

Blessings to you,

Sarah
