Over the weekend we ate at one of my favorite restaurants, Grand Finale. It’s located in historical Glendale and specializes in crepes and desserts! The restaurant is housed in a beautiful building from 1895 that had previously been a saloon and a mercantile until it was purchased by the current owners in the 1970s. The interior is decorated in a comfortable Victorian way. This time we were able to eat in the garden room, which is toward the back and it borders a lovely courtyard. Soft twinkle lights sparkled in bushes, old ceramic planters held flowering plants, and little yellow leaves were sprinkled all over the cobblestones.
We enjoyed a lunch of crabcakes with sweet mustard aoli and corn relish. It was wonderful.
For dessert, there was apple cinnamon cheesecake. Yum!
Blessings to you,
Sarah
