While in Cincinnati, a visit was paid to their lovely knit store, Hank. Well, actually it’s not a store, it’s a yarn boutique (so says the website). It’s in a lovely area of Hyde Park – grand stately buildings, wide front lawns with iron gates, and towering trees. It was especially lovely now that fall has settled in for a visit. Fall had moved into the yarn shop too. Gone were the light and frothy laces, and in their place were thick and wooly yarns in warm, comforting tones. These beauties caught my eye, as they looked like fall leaves painted into the strands. Soft subdued tones of burgundy, rust, purple, and brown are twined about each other in a feathery, alpaca/wool blend. This poncho sample was knitted up as a sample, and it won my heart. I plan to knit it with the yarn I purchased as soon as there’s a break in my projects.
Blessings to you,
