A long walk in the woods is one of the greatest pleasures afforded to us. There’s nothing more wonderful than to be close to trees, feeling them grow, listening to the sounds of life, smelling the earth’s rich scent, watching the sunlight filter through leaves. The beauty is so intoxicating that I think I’d like to wander through a forest forever, learning the names of all the trees, feeling their roots sink deep in my soul.
Below is a card I made for the magazine, Take Ten Cards. It’s for their template challenge and was inspired by the walks I’ve taken in the woods this fall.
