While we were in Austin visiting family, they took us to a new upscale shopping area called The Domain to look at Christmas decorations. As we were driving around, I spied an Anthropologie (it’s always on my radar) and so naturally we stopped in for a visit. Every Anthropologie is unique and I love seeing how each one is decorated. Being in an Anthro store is a feast for the senses and offers great crafty ideas. The wall displays in the Austin store featured these wonderful canvases of wildlife silhouettes.
I think they would be fairly easy to make something similar with wildlife stencils. I like the nice clean lines with the woodland theme, especially that little fox – adorable! Another neat crafty item displayed in the store were these fiber and paper cupcakes.
Using fuzzy, specialty fibers as the frosting is a novel idea and a great way to use up my little scraps that are too beautiful to throw away. One of my favorite seasonal offerings at Anthro is the gift-wrapping table. They have an impressive selection of handmade wrapping paper and all sorts of trimmings and tags. They have wooden spools wound with twine and velvet ribbon, lovely tags, bottles of beads and glitter. It’s so much fun to look at!
Hope all of you are enjoying the wintery month of January.
Blessings to you,
