Yesterday my mom and I enjoyed a day downtown. This involved going to the knit store, of course. I needed an additional hank of yarn (this is the excuse I used, perfectly legitimate). To my horror, they did not have the yarn I needed. Gasp! But I found a pattern that would work with the amount of yarn I already had, so that worked out just as well. I also found some beautiful yarns on sale, and they assured me they would like to live with me, so I did my part to rescue homeless balls of yarn. We had lunch at the Wine shop, which serves that delectable goat cheese pesto torte with sundried tomatoes. (I’ve blogged about that before). And then we walked next door to the Best Chocolate in Town (that’s their name). They are aptly named, for they do make the best truffles I’ve ever had. There’s a picture of one further down on the post – it’s fig with almond. Yum! They have lots of unique favors, like cinnamon basil, cranberry sage, and such. They’re all so good. At Christmas, the peppermint bark and pumpkin spice were my favorites. I took some pictures of downtown and played around with the Instagram app too. Hope you enjoyed a restful weekend.
Blessings to you,
