Today finds me near giddy with excitement because something green is poking its head above the earth. Finally!!!! Little green fronds of joy are unfurling into the sun of a coming spring. After a long winter, they are finally coming back. I’m so happy to see the first signs of spring coming. Yarrow is one of my favorite plants because they are so hardy and easy to grow. They fill in borders beautifully. And their foliage is amazing – tiny, delicate fern-like leaves and perfect heads of tiny blooms in white, yellows, pinks, and reds. With a pleasant scent and flowers full of nectar, they attract lots of bees and butterflies and are otherwise a perfect plant in whose company I love to spend long afternoons. When I think of heaven, I imagine I’ll walk barefoot through fields of yarrow forever.
Blessings to you,
Sarah
