There are so many things that I love about Denver. Tops for today is that nearly 10,000 people can stand shoulder to shoulder with strangers for hours in the 50 degree weather on a June night at Red Rocks just for the sheer joy of singing “Do do do, da da da” with Sting.
I had the privilege of seeing him last time he was at Red Rocks a few years ago. He had brought some of the London Symphonic orchestra with him. This time it was Sting with 5 musicians playing piano, drums, guitar, violin, and mandolin. It’s amazing how versatile Sting’s music is to be played so many different ways. The arrangements tonight were incredible and were perfect for showing off the skills of the other musicians. I’ll blog more about today in future posts, but for now this Sting-fan must get some sleep. It’s been a long, adventure-filled day of happy.
Blessings to you,
Sarah
