Gift #359: Bonnie Brae Ice Cream

Bonnie Brae is a Denver treasure – a special neighborhood of beautiful homes and little shops and restaurants.  And in this special place there is an ice cream shop.  It looks like something from Disneyland, especially at night when all the twinkle lights are lit up.  During the weekends local musicians come out to play on the patio while people eat their ice cream and chat with friends.  Every night during the summer there’s always a crowd and lots of people bring their dogs, which makes it all the more special.  Bonnie Brae has been making their own ice cream since 1986.  Every night they serve around 30 flavors of ice cream, plus sundaes, banana splits, and floats.  I love this little place and enjoy eating ice cream here as often as I can.  I love the wonderful feel of community that they foster – everyone, whether resident or visitor, is part of the family at Bonnie Brae.
