Over a period of several years, quite a collection of ceramic mushrooms has sprouted in the back gardens. Each year about the time that the yarrow blooms, they emerge from their carefully wrapped plastic to lend a sweet whimsy to the garden. I like to think that they also welcome well -mannered snails and little elves to the garden. Here’s hoping I may spot one this year!
