Gift #390: Disney magic

As a confirmed Disneyphile, I was delighted to find these gift items at our local Hallmark store.  I went in there this afternoon because it’s their Christmas ornament premier this weekend (does anyone else think it’s a bit early for Christmas?).  They’ve started carrying a lot of Disney-themed home decor items, and these were my favorites.  I love the Disneyland castle with a passion.  The quote below “To all who come to this happy place, welcome” was part of Disney’s dedication speech on the opening day of Disneyland.

Ever since I first saw Cinderella as a little girl, I loved, loved , loved watching that pumpkin turn into a carriage.  There are very few moments of Disney magic that top that transformation. It was a formative moment in childhood and one that never ceases to enchant me.  Ahh..lucky Cinderella, to have ridden inside a beautiful pumpkin.

And then there’s my favorite Disney movie, Peter Pan.  “Think of the happiest things, it’s the same as having wings.”  And off we go to Neverland where we don’t have to grow up…at least until it’s time for dinner.

Who can not love Winnie-the-Pooh?  The bear of very little brain who’s always in want of a smackeral of something sweet.  Perhaps a bit of honey.  Although he doesn’t consider himself wise, he always has the most appropriate thing to say.

Blessings to you,

Sarah
