One of the pavilions at the fair was dedicated to small animals, and inside was an impressive collection of rabbits. Most were raised by kids in the 4H program and it was encouraging to see so many young people interested in husbandry and the care of animals. There were many different breeds represented: Flemish giants, dwarf lops (my favorites), and hotots – these were white rabbits with thick black bands around their eyes. They were very beautiful. Well, all the rabbits were – just take a look.
