“Autumn is a second spring when every leaf is a flower” – Albert Camus
This scarf reminds me of this quote. I’ve just finished it this week in time to wear for the fall. It is soft and warm and perfect for wrapping about oneself for walks in the woods to admire the changing leaves. In fact it could almost be mistaken for a fall leaf itself. This was a wonderful project to knit because the color changes were so interesting. The yarn is Noro’s Silk Garden Light. The pattern was a store pattern from my local knitting paradise, Nomad Yarns. The owner creates a project for each month and this was the lovely offering for September. We had several colorways to choose from, but I loved this one for its woodsy fall colors. The design is an entrelac pattern. Learning this technique was on my “to-do” list this year and I’m glad to have had a chance to master the pattern. The scarf will get lots of wear as I’ll be heading to a state park for the weekend and will be doing lots of hiking.
Blessings to you,
Sarah
