“There is magic in the night, when pumpkins glow with firelight”
Happy All Hallows Eve! All the pumpkins are smiling tonight! And no wonder – the weather has created a night just perfect for Halloween. It’s foggy and misty, everything shrouded in a veil of mystery. The rain has made everything sparkle in the lamplight and the wind has persuaded the leaves to abandon the trees and dance wildly across the streets and in the yards. It was a gloomy sort of day that turned into a dreary sort of night. It rained all day long and provided a backdrop that Poe himself couldn’t improve upon. Our trick-or-treaters will come tomorrow so I spent the evening at my local knit store. They had decorated with large fuzzy spiders and cobwebs hung over all the shelves. After knit group was over it was time to come home, get comfy, and read more of Wicked, which is perfect for All Hallow’s Eve.
“When witches go riding and black cats are seen, the moon laughs and whispers tis’ near Halloween”
I hope you all had a wonderful Halloween, full of pumpkins and fallen leaves and cornstalks…and maybe candy corn!
Blessings to you,
Sarah
