Gift #534: Winter Terrariums

While we were staying in Tyler for Christmas, we made a couple runs to the grocery store.  My brother’s family shops at a store called Fresh, which has an amazing produce section and an impressive inventory of artisan cheeses. Their bakery is pretty incredible too, churning out rustic breads, tortillas, cupcakes, and stunning desserts.  And there’s a very nice floral department where you can pick up fresh cuts, bouquets, and arrangements.  They had made little hanging terrariums for Christmas that captured my interest and I took a few pictures in case I’d like to try my hand at making them in the future.  I love terrariums full of succulents.  These blown glass balls were about the size of Christmas ornaments.  Tucked inside was a lovely assortment of succulents, pine cones, and winter greenery.  They were finished off with a dusting of “snow.”

Oh they were just lovely.  They would be great to use as ornaments, or to hang from a wreath or garland.  They would make a stunning centerpiece clustered together along a table, or they could be whimsical name holders, or party favors for guests.  Lots of possibilities here….must try soon.

Blessings to you,
