How about a card share for today? The Cards for a Cause nonprofit for the year of April was for a pregnancy center and they requested baby cards. I made up a batch of cards and sent them out today ( a little late, but never late than never). The story behind the stamp set I used is something of a God-story. The set (Storybook Friends) is retiring from Stampin Up and I had wanted to purchase it because it’s great for babies and children and had a sweet, vintage look to the stamps instead of cutesy. (And I had been in love with the fox stamp for quite some time).
But when I tried to order it at our stamp group meeting, it was already sold out. sniff sniff. I was really disappointed because it was a really nice set. I decided to check on ebay to see if anyone was selling a used set, and I found a listing for a free Storybook Friends with purchase of an addition stamp set. The seller had for sale another stamp set that had retired and I liked but wasn’t able to purchase. So I ordered both sets at a significant discount, they were brand new, and arrived within 48 hours. I was ecstatic because they came in time for me to use them for this month’s baby cards and they were perfect. I’ve loved working with them so far and see lots of uses for cards for my baby nephew in the near future.
Blessings to you,
Sarah
