Happy Happy Day!! Today I set off in search of pumpkins. This is one of the most anticipated days of autumn – when my mom and I venture down to Nashville, IN to pick out pumpkins and enjoy the town decorated for autumn. It is a few weeks earlier than when we usually take our pumpkin trip, but October weekends are filling up with autumn activities so today proved the best option. I was concerned it might be too early and they wouldn’t have a good selection, but I need not have worried.
Kelp’s Pumpkin Farm was filled with wonderful pumpkins in all our favorite varieties. It wasn’t very crowded so we were able to browse slowly and thoroughly enjoy all the beautiful pumpkins, carefully selecting which pumpkins would spend autumn with us. Now quite frankly, this is a lot more difficult than you might expect because I would love to spend autumn with all of them.
By the time we were finished, both my mom and I had picked an entire wagon full of pumpkins each (I do not exaggerate) and the car was piled high with pumpkins. More pictures will be coming soon. In the meantime, welcome beautiful pumpkins!
Blessings to you,
Sarah
