Two blog posts in one day! That might be a record! This month I participated as a guest contributor to Art Jewelry Elements blog. They host monthly challenges to make jewelry using art beads for a particular theme. October’s theme was, appropriately, ravens. Loving ravens as I do, this was match made in heaven, especially after I spied these wonderful raven bead samplers from Heather Powers of Humblebeads.
My necklace ornaments Heather’s beautiful beads with wire wrapping, Czech beads, and lucite flowers. The slightly asymmetrical design is finished off with gray faux suede cording and a tiny lucite flower and leaf accent. Here’s a closeup of the focal point of the necklace.
I will have a more formal blog post up tomorrow. It’s my first time submitting under Art Jewelry Elements and I didn’t know I had been accepted to include my jewelry until just a few minutes ago! I’ll know better for the future. In the meantime I hope you enjoy these pictures and the necklace and I’ll be back tomorrow with a longer post and will also show the earrings made for the necklace.
Blessings to you,
Sarah
Really pretty, I love the curls on the leaves!
