Autumn is in its final stages now. All the trees in the forest behind the house have shed their leaves in a shower of yellow gold. And now it seems so bare and sad. I’m not ready for the leaves to leave (if you’ll forgive the inadvertent pun).
My mom and I spent some time together at Eagle Creek Park this afternooon enjoying the remaining bits of fall. Although the vast majority of leaves were now crunching under foot, there were still some last glorious displays of color.
It was a day full of sunshine and the light illuminated the leaves and made them glow. We had a lovely walk admiring the flashes of color radiating from the trees.
After a walk and picnic, we watched the birds at the outdoor feeders and knit for a while. A lovely sweet day spent in the lingering traces of autumn.
Blessings to you,
Sarah
What a beautiful day it was – I love sunny, autumn days! Blessings!
